Since this is a short backstory...

Let's start with some of the great brands I've had the pleasure of working with.

Near Unrealistic Deadlines

At the end of 2017, I was working on designing and publishing an art book for a client. The project had an incredibly tight schedule because it was part of an exhibition and was being launched at a museum.

The Last Week Before Going On Press

Crazy long hours were put in to make sure the book would be ready. By Wednesday evening, and more or less wearing the same clothes for the past three days, I absolutely needed to play squash (exercise). So I grabbed my gear and headed to the street where I thought my car was parked.

Ten minutes later, and after a speed-dial call to the tow company. I'm in an Uber (and quite furious) heading to pick up my car. Apparently parking on a side street in Portsmouth, NH for more than 72 hours gets you ticketed and towed.

By the time I arrived to the squash courts in Exeter (and minus $200 later) I was actually thrilled because the initial concept for this company materialized.

p.s. Another fun fact. The very next week I decided to play squash again. Parked on the same street that I was towed (different spot) only to find another parking ticket on the windshield. This time it was for my rear wheel being on the line. Couldn't help but laugh because it just added fuel to my entrepreneurial fire.

To Flesh Out the Idea

Over five years ago I was fortunate to walk the Camino de Santiago for the first time. It’s an old pilgrim trail that stretches across Spain and goes further into Europe. I started in France near the edge of Spain with the intention of walking to the coast—which takes more than a month.

It’s known that walking every day increases creativity. To me, starting another Camino is a great way to step into the business you want to run. Long hours of walking every day forces you to attain absolute clarity and map out a plan that makes sense.
